As you can see in this chart , most people who answered my questionnaire are aged 15-16 and some are 17 , which means that most people who answered this are most likely in college and secondary school. This give an idea on what the target audience of my magazine will be. It is aimed at teenage boys and girls who are currently in secondary school,sixth form and college. The reason this is like this because of the content of the magazine , which I would talk further on. When asked about the age when answering the questionnaire , the majority of people who answered are boys.However, in contrast 38.5% who answered were girls as well. This template will give me an idea on what my magazine should contain in them and the gnere that suits teenage needs.
In this chart people has a variety mix of answers. The reason for this it’s because people might not be as interested in magazine or on a tight budget or simply they don’t have enough money because they are young and some don't work. The person who has said they would pay around £4 for a magazine , has obviously taken an interest in it and also might have read magazine before suggesting the price they would pay for it. This gives me an idea on the price ranging I should sell my magazine for , so that it benefits everyone.
When asked about what type of magazine content they like , most preferred sports and films. The reason this is like that because the questionnaire was dominated by boys. Most boys likes sports. However, there’s also interesting content such as facts and fashion , which may be selected by girls who answered my questionnaire. People have chosen the content that they like , which would see them be more fascinated about it. This will give me an idea on how i should set my magazine content page. As you can tell my magazine would be most likely will be based on films, sports and fashion as it would reach out to my target audience.
People equally spend different amount on magazine per month. This might be because of what people are into or what they do on a day to day basis. The person who has spent over £50 , clearly shows that they might read magazine for a hobbie , compared to the others they spend way less , which indicates that they are generally interested in magazine unless it has something to do with something they like. There’s some people who would pay around or payed the range of £10 to £30 , which can indicates that they read it quite a lot on content they like.
People preferred magazines to be shown/ advertised on social media in the world we live in today because everyone has a device and everyone is on it interacting. The reason most people suggested facebook , snapchat and instagram is because their on it everyday. This is so that they can keep up to date with the magazine because these days people are always on social media. In the world we live in today , these are the apps that people rather have magazines advertised on so that they can keep up to date.
People equally preferred simplistic and stylish magazine style. The reason this might be because they don’t like their page congested with to much words, which would see them not be as interested. On the other hand , 23.1% of people rather complicated magazine , this might be because they like when there brain works a lot and have lots of information to take in at the same time. Either Way, people like to have information on the magazine. So when I am drawing up my magazine ideas I will have a an idea on how much I should put on my magazine.
Most people who answered this questionnaire read magazines for entertainment. This is because they enjoyed the content that they are interested in. On the other hand , they also read it to be educated. The reason they might be read to be educated is to gain more understanding on the content they want to read. Eg, if someone is new to football , they would read about it which would help them to gain a better understanding. People also read magazine to relax to their mind. Moreover , some read magazine to keep up to date on things such as when are new films coming out.
People prefer to read magazine on their device as you can see by this questionnaire. The reason for this it’s because people are on their phone everywhere they go these days. This makes it easy for them to read magazines on it while on the go. In contrast , some people prefer not to. This might be because of medical problems or they find it just stressful looking for magazine to read , so they rather it on a hard copy.
Most people who answered the magazine like to read it at home. This correlated to the previous question that people who read magazine at home likes to read it to relax and for entertainment purpose. Some people also read it on the go and in cafes and pubs , this helps them make time fly by quick but again they are also interested in it . Furthermore, people also read magazine where they feel comfortable in.
